Good Life Homeschool Services
I have worked and volunteered with families and children for more than 18 years. Since 1998, I have provided home-based instruction to my children in grades K-8, which has given me experience in evaluating learning styles, developing curriculum, and procuring educational materials. I worked concurrently with multi-age children, researched community resources for field trips and learning opportunities, networked with homeschool families, and fulfilled duties as required by state law.
In 1998 I helped create a cooperative and supportive community of homeschool families without regard to educational, political, or religious philosophy. I edited and published the group’s print newsletter and created and maintain their Internet forum. This group remains active with approximately 250 member families.
As a volunteer, I have worked with La Leche League, Girl Scouts, Academy of Children’s Theatre, and 4-H – all involving interaction with children and families. Currently, I work part time as a Substitute Teacher for a local school district.
Homeschool parents are the best judges of their child's progress. My goal is to work with parents to provide annual non-test assessments that meet Washington State requirements, provide information that is useful to parents, and provoke fond memories.
